Before Yo Louie was established, every time I grabbed a candle off the store shelves that claimed to smell of something wonderful like rain or fire, I was let down. They were full of florals, baby powder, and vanilla. I never found the candles I was looking for, and I got tired of settling for "good enough".

 

So, I set out to make scented candles that are true to their description. Take our Petrichor candle for example, it's infused with real geosmin! Geosmin is essential for a true rainfall scent and it's hard to come by, which is why so many people rave about our Petrichor scent.

Oh, and the one that started it all, our Campfire Stories candle? Pure wood, fire, and smoke. No vanilla in there to make it more "palatable". We are proud to be the real deal when it comes to genuine scents. Now don't get me wrong, we LOVE vanilla here...just not in a candle that claims to smell like fire.

It doesn't stop there. Gorgeous, uncommon scents are another core aspect of Yo Louie Candle Co. We're still a very small business but we've managed to come up with such unique scents that our customers are absolutely captivated by them. Desert Creosote or Carrot-Raspberry, anyone?

Last but not least, what makes Yo Louie truly special is a commitment to craftsmanship and conscience. Our small-batch 100% soy wax candles are free from harmful parabens and phthalates. Each and every one of our hand-poured candles are pure, sustainable, and long-lasting.
